Another volatile day for the Dow, plunging more than 1,000 points. A spike in safe-haven assets like gold indicate fear in the markets.

Thank you Gerald Celente.
Must remember fundamentals appeared strong in 2008 months before recession. Consumer & household debt is higher now than in 2008. With auto and student loans in high delinquency. Gold initially fell headed into 2008 recession then shot up. Fed has there hands tied with this market. Only QE4 can save stock market from total meltdown. I predict Dow is headed to 16000.
Treasury bill auction this week described as tepid. Not looking good.
Gerald, I agree: If the West could please stop bombing countries? That would be very nice. However, living in the centre of Western Europe, I would like to say that, here at least we do NOT have a refugee crisis. We have a MIGRANT crisis. brought about more by Merkel than by Obama. This is putting so much pressure on our social services, that Europeans having difficulties cannot get help anymore, when they, their children and their parents have contributed to these services all their lives. We are too busy giving priority to help a bunch of young men who come looking for, and I quote, "Easy meat" (pre-teen White girls) and cash handouts. This is a migrant crisis, and we are too pathetic to put an end to it. I worry for all the young girls of my continent. Welcome to Eurabia!
Here’s a great idea to put money back into the hands of the people and democratize the workplaces for workers:
Thank you very much Gerald. I always get very excited to watch Trends In The News. Nothing beats it and I am so happy I to have found your channel.
Can someone dumb down the volatility index and how it effected all the ETF's and ETN's for a humble TJ subscriber? Is the VIX all about options and how they were cashed in when the market got spooked or what? Thanks!
Unbelievable. I have only recently begun my first subscription to the Trends Journal, and already I am grateful beyond belief. Hilarious and incredibly informative. To have access to this in 2018 is precious, priceless, and truly a joy!
Thank you Gerald and team!
Pentagon's Nuclear Posture Review - Dr Stranglelove not fiction
The Brookings a-shole says...the nuclear weapons do need to be "safe and reliable". That's an oxymoron if ever there was one!
Mr. C. I concur with your keen analysis. In Sacramento CA., The Knee Jerks and their "Fearless Leader," Geriatric Moonbeam Marrone, have legalized recreational marijuana, which is evident to anyone who drives the freeways in California. These 75 year old former draft-dodging hippies, toking on their bongs while going 35 mph in the fast lane! You smell that skunk weed odor everywhere. It's a disservice to skunks! Meanwhile, these same lame-brained hypocrites are part and parcel of Big Pharma's attempt to cut off the law abiding medical patient's from opioid pain killers, in order to force them to go to the street and support the CIA-Rothschild Heroin-Fentanyl Cabal, which is part of the overall genocidal plan to reduce the aging population and/or incarcerate them in those profitable "concentration camps" know as the Correctional Facilities. California now has a "One Size Fits All" committee which limits patients to a set amount of pain medicine,k by a bunch of bean counting bozos behind their desks, with their pipes and herbs on standby. This group of pointy-headed jackasses is called CTMUS. I think it should be an acronym for "Completely Monsterous Tribunal for Unnecessary Suffering!" If you know or you are a person suffering from Chronic Malignant or Chronic Non Malignant pain. Please call or write to President Trump and/or your state and federal representitives. This opioid crisis is manufactured hyperbole! I am all for greater restrictions on opioids for acute pain and/or injuries. Avoiding the chronic use of these last-line defensive drugs for temporary ailments makes good sense. No one needs 5 refills on Tussionex Time-Released Cough Syrup! 90- 120 mls. will do, even for the most severe cough. Cancer is a different story. Let the doctor determine the course of treatment for the chronically ill patients, debilitated by severe unrelenting pain. Get the politicians and insurance agents out of the greatest medical system in the world!
How can journalists these days look at themselves in the mirror and like what they see? On the one hand, they appeal to the sympathy of the reader by describing various atrocities bought about by military conflicts such as the husband and wife loading their children onto a truck to escape from danger. But then, in the very same paper you will see the same group of journalists promote and support the politicians and military commanders who authorise all the destruction. They talk about the tragedies of conflict in sympathetic and sobering language and then sell the fear and hysteria required to keep it going. Is that not the very height of shame? You would think that they would have had enough by now of reporting on all the bloodshed to want to do something about it.
I wonder what effect on real estate in NYC and other former high tax write off states will occur as a result of the new tax laws?
Dear Gerald, Ruth Bader "Gin"z berg, and John "Songbird" McCain, have both supposedly been afflicted with 2 very aggressive cancers. Primary pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PPC) in respect to Justice RBG., and Glioblastoma Multiform (GBM) in reference to Send McCain. The "woo-woo" crowd may insinuate that these two fortunate recipients of "The Secret Cancer Cure," reserved only for the E-lights, or even more plausible is the question: Were these two patients either mis-diagnosed or purposely falsely diagnosed? I used to be young and naive, Gerald. Now I'm old and naive!
My dad died of glioblastoma multiforme. It's an octopus-like tumor with tentacles all throughout the brain -so, not operable. I asked the brain surgeon how long had he had it, and how long would he last? Two years - mostly symptom free until it gets in the way of something - causing brain hemorrhage, then coma, then death. After diagnosis - most usually only live 6 months. After the cerebral hemorrhage, he lasted 2 weeks. Looking back, Dad had some crazy thoughts and actions during the last few months before the hemorrhage.
In the meantime, McCain's judgment should be examined and probably should not be making any "laws" or decisions for our country!
